Connecting those experiencing homelessness with vital community resources and support is the goal of the Salem Housing Authority Resource Event on Tuesday, August 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wallace Marine Park. We're preparing to replace the aging play structure with new equipment that is fun and safe for kids (and adults) of all ages. Funds from the Safety and Livability Bond passed by voters in 2022 are paying for the project.
