At City Colleges, we provide students with seamless pathways to earn a bachelor's degree—at a fraction of the cost. Today, we were proud to add another option for students to our growing list of transfer partners. Our new agreement with Valparaiso University provides guaranteed admissions and other support, including scholarships, for eligible students studying Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Management, and Marketing. “Valparaiso University is a place where our students can uncover their passion and learn... I’m thankful for this transfer agreement because it will save our students time and money, and help them soar," said City Colleges Chancellor Juan Salgado. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gkxcPMk2

Congratulations to our partner, the Chicago Apprentice Network, for surpassing their milestone of connecting more than 2,000 students to apprenticeships in the Chicagoland area. Through our collaboration, we have been able to support students like City Colleges of Chicago-Wilbur Wright College alumnus John Williams by providing a no-cost education and paid on the job training. John is now a full-time analyst at Accenture, where he continues to grow his career. We look forward to providing hundreds more of our students with pathways to good-paying, in-demand jobs through apprenticeships in the years to come. https://lnkd.in/gVz6WdcW

Alumnus Carlos Vela always knew he was ready for more, but he wasn’t quite sure how to achieve his goals. City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College gave him the tools and support to earn his associate degree and created a plan for him to become a police officer. He’ll begin his Chicago Police Academy training to become a Chicago police officer in the fall.

As many of our recent graduates get ready to transfer, 25 new City Colleges alumni have received $5,000 scholarships from CME Group to do just that. Mayor Brandon Johnson, Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr., City Colleges, and CME Group recently celebrated the hardworking Star Scholars who have received the CME Group Star Partnership Mayoral Scholarship. These students received their associate degrees at no cost from City Colleges due to their strong GPAs in high school and now plan to transfer to one of our four-year Star Scholar partners to obtain their bachelor’s degrees. https://lnkd.in/gABnsk7w
