Our new #compressednaturalgas (#CNG) station in Calgary is making progress! Due to complete this fall, Clean Energy has a string of CNG sites in development with our Canadian partners Tourmaline Oil Corp to support the adoption of lower-carbon natural gas fuels in the region. The use of this domestic, abundantly produced and easily distributed resource is expected to result in significant #carbondioxide (#CO2) emission reductions and cost savings for the transportation industry in Canada. Currently, fueling vehicles with CNG results in up to 50% cost savings when compared to retail diesel prices, and these CNG stations also pave the way for #renewablenaturalgas (#RNG) availability in the future, as the same fueling station infrastructure that dispenses CNG can be used to dispense RNG. #NaturalGasTransportation #CleanEnergyFuels #Calgary

Our Head of Renewables and SVP of Strategic Development, Clay Corbus, spoke to Biomass Magazine on the ins and outs of Clean Energy - our mission, the markets we operate in, our growth in #RNG fueling, and developing partnerships to become key players in the RNG production space. “Right now, RNG is the only practical solution for heavy-duty vehicles on the road,” Corbus explains. “In the immediate-term, RNG going directly into an RNG truck—a natural gas truck—is the most immediate opportunity and the one that we see growing the fastest.” Read in full here: https://lnkd.in/gSkGhgbJ #renewablenaturalgas #RNG #CleanEnergyFuels

We have opened a new state-of-the-art #renewablenaturalgas (#RNG) station in Carney’s Point. Strategically located in the important trucking corridor between Philadelphia and Wilmington, the new site gives fleets easy access to clean, low-carbon fuel. RNG is available today in and is already helping to decarbonize heavy-duty transportation. Take a look at Clean Energy’s Director of National Accounts, Mike Cecere, on location at the new Carney’s Point station, delving into the power of renewable natural gas. We have signed a series of new deals representing a collective growing demand within city agencies for more sustainable, low-carbon solutions for their operations. “What we are now observing is that municipalities which are eager to meet their environmental and fiscal goals can do this with #renewablenaturalgas (#RNG) easily, immediately and cost-effectively. Many cities are now making clean fuel a requirement for their transportation needs because of local, state and federal requirements to reduce emissions. RNG is the best solution to meet those needs,” said Chad Lindholm, senior vice president at Clean Energy. Read full press release here: https://lnkd.in/gBupgN3e #CleanEnergyFuels #Cowpower

Lots of interest around renewable natural gas (RNG) at today’s ‘Alternative Fuels Workshop’ with Peterbilt Motors Company and Cummins Inc.. RNG is the cleanest, lowest carbon alternative and the most immediate solution to decarbonizing heavy-duty fleets. Our new RNG truck made it to the event and is now in California about to start its demo test drives with our customers around the country. Equipped with the new Cummins Inc. #X15N 15-liter natural gas engine, we can’t wait for fleets to haul heavy loads and test its highly praised capabilities while reducing their carbon emissions by over 300% compared to running on diesel. Check out the Clean Energy team -John Marlow and Reagan Clemens - on the ground with the truck, popping the hood to inspect the brand new engine! 👀🚛👏 #RenewableNaturalGas #RNG #X15N #15literengine #CleanEnergyFuels

June is #NationalDairyMonth! Did you know: In the U.S., 370+ dairy farms have operational anaerobic digesters—that represents 11% of American dairy farms that have at least 500 cows. 🐄 Anaerobic digesters are more common at larger dairies, simply because there needs to be enough waste for the investment in a digester to make economic sense. (No, farmers don’t add cows to their farms just so they can build digesters.) That’s why small and mid-sized farms sometimes take in waste from cheesemakers and other food processors. The combined total of waste is then enough to make a digester investment pay off. When two different types of waste are digested together (food + manure) it’s called co-digestion. This reduces greenhouse gas emissions from food processing facilities as well as farms. Biogas systems offer huge environmental and economic benefits to all of us—cutting methane emissions, recycling manure and killing odors and pathogens—all while producing renewable energy and natural fertilizer. They are yet another way that America’s dairy farms are becoming more and more sustainable. #BenefitsOfBiogas #Biogas
