Last week, the Missile Defense Agency selected the Lockheed Martin - Corvid team to develop a new interceptor that will protect against intercontinental ballistic missiles. Corvid’s physics-based designs and expertise in the missile defense industry were key in optimizing performance and exceeding selection criteria, resulting in the awarded solution. Corvid is excited to continue working with Lockheed Martin on Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) efforts, constructing system hardware components and conducting test events, algorithm development, and computational analysis to maximize mission capabilities.

About us
End to End Solutions to Your Most Difficult Problems. Corvid is a small business that provides technology-based solutions to a diverse customer base ranging from the Missile Defense Agency to NASCAR. Founded in 2004, we are a group of over 140 engineers and scientists, about 3/4ths with master’s degrees or Ph.D.’s, that provide end-to-end solutions including concept development, design, optimization, build, and test. We leverage the predictive capability of our high-fidelity computational physics solvers, indigenous massively parallel supercomputer system, prototyping plant, and ballistics and mechanics lab to investigate a variety of high-rate physics phenomena. The results are complex engineering solutions for a variety of applications; aircraft, ballistic missile defense, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, and missile and warhead design and development. These results are achieved with optimal design and cost efficiency due to the predictive capability of Corvid’s tools and our in-house, end-to-end integrated approach, which differentiates Corvid from the market. Corvid’s main campus is located in Mooresville, NC, and our satellite offices are located in Alexandria, VA, and Huntsville, AL. Corvid is a CNI Company and functions as a subsidiary of CNI Government, LLC.

Corvid Technologies and L3Harris Technologies Fuzing and Ordnance have developed a weapon system, termed Shryke, a GPS-guided, multimission precision strike munition. “Corvid and L3 FOS have been able to demonstrate a low signature munition with a safe separation sensor, fuze, and warhead on multiple sUAS platforms using a common control interface,” said Kyle Bowen, Corvid Technologies Director of Business Development. “Shryke achieves affordable mass for the warfighter to support the US Army sUAS lethality requirement for Medium-range Reconnaissance (MRR) and Long-range Reconnaissance (LRR) platforms.” Bowen said. Corvid, in collaboration with Insitu Inc, executed a successful Shryke demonstration with Integer Uncrewed Aircraft System. Our GPS-guided, multi-mission precision strike missile, termed Shryke, controlled munition delivery within 1-2 meters of targets during testing. Institu’s Integrator, a NATO Class 1 UAS, enabled the effective deployment of Shryke with its 40 lb freight capacity and over 24 hour flight endurance. "We were able to demonstrate a low signature munition with a safe separation sensor, fuze, and warhead on Integrator,” said Kyle Bowen, Director of Business Development at Corvid. We are excited to announce an expansion of Integrator’s growing strike capability set with our recent successful test drop of GPS-guided Shryke munitions (from Corvid Technologies) with L3Harris Technologies’ Electronic Safe and Arm Device. Integrator’s 24+ hours of endurance paired with kinetics and multiple remaining payload bays allows you to search, interrogate, target, prosecute, and perform after-action assessment in one sortie, with time to spare. #EnduranceIsEverything #UAS #UAV #Drones

We are pleased to share the news of our collaboration with Jankel Tactical Systems, creating a United States Department of Defense SBIR vehicle seating protection program. The SBIR program involves developing a new vehicle seating technology focused on multi-directional threat mitigation. Using Corvid’s high-fidelity computational physics solver, Velodyne, and Jankel’s innovative seating technology, the team will solve challenges involving high-energy threats to vehicle seating. David Robinson, Corvid Technologies President and CEO said: “We selected Jankel Tactical Systems as a partner given their established position in the Defense vehicle seating market. Jankel’s quick-response capabilities in combination with Corvid’s particular engineering analysis skillset allows our team to deliver prototype engineering solutions that are both innovative and compliant – exactly what a project like this requires. We are confident that the team we have formed here will be able to solve the unique challenges set by our customer.” https://lnkd.in/eHZ4ykUm
