Tomorrow, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of the African American community. On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, marking a pivotal moment in history. Let’s honor the past, celebrate the progress, and continue striving for equality and justice. Together, we can build a brighter future for all. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #BlackHistory #CelebrateFreedom

Very happy to announce our Series A fundraise, and very happy to partner with Nick Nocito at Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital for our next phase of growth. When I joined the team at Cover Whale 6 months ago, I knew I was joining something special. A large ($225M GPW) MGA that has figured out how to successfully address a difficult niche business and deliver a very unique offering to agents, policyholders, and our carrier partners. Now we have a strong foundation in place and have been consistently profitable since January. That is a rare feat in this emerging insuretech industry, especially for a company that raised so little capital to get there. But our best days are ahead: • We have an opportunity to improve our technology and operating platform to deliver better service to our agents and customers. If we can nail that we will see big gains with our existing distribution partners and improved loyalty from policyholders. • Our online platform processes 10's of thousands of quotes a month. We can expand our appetite within our existing niche or start to expand into new products and adjacent niches to capture more value from that existing flow. • We are doubling down on our DriveSmart program, using cameras, telematics, and analytics (dare I say AI?) to reduce losses and make roads safer for everyone. • We have an incredible team and culture. They have worked very hard through challenging times and deserve all the credit for where this business has come. I've never worked at a company with people who are so committed and driven yet kind and supportive. I feel very lucky that Daniel Abrahamsen, Kevin Abramson, and the rest of the team have given me the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful journey!
