To trust AI, you need to know *exactly* what data it’s trained on and how it makes decisions. It’s like baking a cake— If you use the wrong ingredients or the wrong recipe… …you’ll end up with a disaster. That’s why at Covey, we’re obsessed with: → Training AI on the right datasets → Constantly monitoring its performance We’ve built a system that allows complete transparency and auditability in the candidate evaluation process. When our system evaluates a candidate, it doesn’t just give a binary pass or fail— IT drills down into exactly what criteria the candidate met (or didn’t meet). This level of granularity allows us to test our models against thousands of scenarios. We compare updated models to previous versions and quickly detect any regressions or biases. And if we find issues? We fix them before the model ever goes into production. But we don’t stop there— We make these auditable evaluations available directly in our product.     Hiring isn’t always fair. We all have unconscious biases about who’s a “good fit.” Things like: → Race → Gender → Background …can influence our decisions (even if we don’t want them to). And that’s a big problem when we’re hiring. We subconsciously might favor people who are like us… …or make snap judgments about someone before really getting to know them. That’s where talent leaders are excited about the promise of AI. Can we use GPT to solve some of these challenges? No. Surprised at my answer? Here’s the problem: off-the-shelf GPT will only give you untuned AI that can inherit human biases through its training data. That is why we built Covey — from the ground up — to avoid that issue completely. Covey eliminates bias using AI that’s fine-tuned to accelerate recruiting in an auditable and transparent process. You tell it exactly what you need for the job. Input the evaluation signals — and all the nuances you would share with another human — you’re targeting… Then, Covey evaluates each candidate using *only* those parameters. Nothing else. It’s like having an unbiased interviewer who not only gives everyone a fair shot, but reads every single resume without fail (no matter how many applicants you have.) No hasty judgments, no overlooked potential. How? LLMs convert recruiters’ role intake into a Domain Specific Language (DSL). It executes candidate evaluation criteria on a discrete unit basis. Candidate evaluation is fully transparent and auditable. All information that could be used to triangulate gender, race, or ethnicity is -> Excluded from our training data. -> Excluded from the instruction set when evaluating candidate criteria that is not related to those areas. Covey’s state-of-the-art system architecture eliminates sample bias during training and inference. It’s made just for hiring, with one goal: Find the best people for your role based on the criteria you set. And nothing else. Because when you combine the human strategy of recruiters and hiring managers with Covey’s unbiased screening, you get a powerful recipe for fair, merit-based hiring.
