CVE North America had an incredible time attending CLEANPOWER 2024; this month, we joined the brightest minds in clean energy to chart the industry's future and discuss the immense opportunities ahead. From insightful panels like "Building the Future: Federal Permitting" and "Domestic Clean Energy Manufacturing" to deep dives into "Green Hydrogen" and "Offshore Wind," the conference was a hub of innovation and collaboration. One highlight was the discussions on agrivoltaics in Minnesota, exploring how integrating targeted sheep grazing and native pollinator ecosystems can enhance land use for ecological benefits. Thank you to the American Clean Power Association (ACP) for organizing this event, to the speakers, and to the attendees for making it unforgettable. Together, we are shaping a sustainable future! #CLEANPOWER2024 #RenewableEnergy #Solar #Sustainability #CleanEnergyFuture #CommunitySolar

Last week, CVE North America sponsored an event with the French-American Chamber of Commerce - New York, "The Circular Leap: Revolutionizing Value Chains on a Global Scale." One of the highlights was an engaging panel discussion, "Green Finance Frontiers: The New Era of Tax Credits & PPA." Our M&A and Finance Director, Steve Hackett sat on the panel and had the privilege of sharing insights alongside industry experts, exploring the dynamic world of green finance. The panel delved into groundbreaking advancements in tax credits and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), illustrating their pivotal roles in driving sustainable projects. These financial mechanisms are not just tools; they are incentives that reward and encourage businesses to adopt eco-friendly practices. As we continue to strive toward a more sustainable future, we recognize the potential of green finance to transform environmental commitments into impactful actions. Thank you to all the visionaries and attendees who joined us in this crucial conversation.

Happy Earth Day! Today, we celebrate our commitment to the planet with a spotlight on our growing solar energy projects in New York. Of our 12 projects across New York, three are operational and will collectively generate over 22,000,000 kWh of clean energy annually, enough to power 2,810 homes. These projects are not only producing energy but also significantly reducing environmental impact. By lowering the need for fossil fuels, they will avoid 17,562 tons of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to taking 3,546 cars off the road. Importantly, these initiatives are also helping to lower utility bills for 3,057 low-to-middle-income subscribers, making sustainable energy accessible to more communities. #EarthDay2024 #CommunitySolar #CleanFuture

Introducing Belair! Our newest community solar project, Belair, is now operational in Troy, NY! With an impressive capacity of 4.9MW, Belair will generate 6,137,000 kWh annually, enough energy to power 767 homes with clean, renewable power. This is more than just a number; it's part of New York's goal for 70% of electricity to come from renewable sources by 2030 This community solar project will offer subscribers tangible savings on their utility bills while playing a crucial role in the collective effort to combat climate. As opposed to using fossil fuels, Belair is avoiding a staggering 4,794 tons of carbon emissions annually. To put this into perspective, it's as if we've taken 968 cars off the road each year! Join us in celebrating this milestone, and stay tuned for more updates. #SolarEnergy #RenewableEnergy #CommunitySolar #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #SolarPower

Community Solar Project in Operation! Two months ago our latest community solar project in Wheatfield, NY went into commercial operation, in collaboration with our engineering, procurement, and construction contractor GreenSpark Energy. The Wheatfield project will now begin to generate over 6 million kWh of clean electricity annually, which will directly impact over 1,030 low to middle-income households with savings on their electricity bills, proving that sustainable solutions and economic benefits go hand in hand. This achievement is just the beginning. Alongside GreenSpark, we're working on four additional community solar projects across New York State, aiming to bring significant electricity bill savings to over 4,600 residents. As Certified B-Corporations, our partnership is founded on a mutual commitment to ethical business practices and a sustainable future. Our efforts align with New York's ambitious climate goals and the NY-Sun program's aim to make solar energy more accessible. By 2026, we aspire to deploy 450 MW of solar capacity across the United States, reinforcing our dedication to driving change in the energy sector and supporting New York State's renewable energy initiatives. Milestone Alert! CVE North America, in partnership with CS Energy, has successfully launched operations for our first two solar installations in New York State. Located in Fredonia, in the town of Pomfret, these community solar projects boast a combined capacity of 10.8 megawatts, illuminating the path for over 2,000 low and moderate-income families with substantial bill savings. This marks a pivotal step in our 22 MW portfolio of four community solar projects in western New York, executed in collaboration with the expert team at CS Energy. These projects not only reinforce our commitment to developing solar energy across the Untied States. But also align perfectly with New York's renewable energy goals. They signify a fusion of CVE's mission to integrate clean energy into the grid and CS Energy's excellence in solar project construction. As part of the New York Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) program, these community solar installations will distribute solar credits and savings to residents. These initiatives will also contribute to New York's goal of 70% renewable electricity by 2030 and the Governor's target of 10 GW of solar capacity. The projects will offset greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing 2,400 gasoline-powered cars or planting over 18,000 trees annually.
