Paris is gearing up for the #2024OlympicGames, but beyond the excitement lies a hidden threat: cyberattacks🛡️ This week Cyberbit ran an immersive crisis simulation for a key infrastructure provider in Paris to strengthen and prepare its cyber defense responses. This wasn't a simple one-day seminar, but months of live-fire training culminating in a full-scale simulation pushing the provider's team to the limit. Going beyond theory, Cyberbit crafted a realistic scenario with actors, media frenzy, and cutting-edge tech, mimicking an attack on critical Games infrastructure. The simulation tested the team’s incident response against cyberattacks, physical threats, and compromised IoT devices. Cyberbit even piloted Generative AI within the simulation, pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity training, and achieved remarkable results! 🦾

The Olympic Games have long been a target of cyberattacks, and the 2024 Paris Games will likely face an unprecedented level of cyber threats. Our crisis simulation team at Cyberbit was on the ground in Paris this week, helping a critical infrastructure provider exercise their response plans. This effort started several months ago with live-fire training for their technical teams, and this week we took their executive team through a full scale, highly customized crisis simulation. I love working with customers that recognize the impact a comprehensive exercise program can make. It is also a lot of fun when we can bring in actors, media and a technology stack that can drive a response that feels real. Our focus in this simulation was on the movement of people through the games in an effort to evaluate cyber, kinetic and IoT impacts. It was also an opportunity to pilot Generative AI in a full scale simulation and the result was impressive.
