Critical infrastructure upgrades are coming to O’Hare International Airport (ORD). The Turner Paschen Aviation Partners are preparing to launch the 17' outside diameter, 14.5’ inside diameter tunnel boring machine scheduled to mine 8000 feet of segmental tunnel. This iconic project will redirect major stormwater flows and will allow for the existing central detention basin to be filled, paving the way for new north-south taxiways, and the eventual construction of future concourses. This is a key enabling project for the Terminal Area Plan as part of the O’Hare 21 Program #TPAP #ORD21 Prime Contractor: Jay Dee Contractors Inc Turner Construction Company, F.H. Today is an "Overflow Action Day." Rain storms are on the way. Please take action to help protect your community from basement backups and combined sewer overflows by reducing your water use. Combined sewer overflows release untreated or partially treated wastewater into the river system. Here are three easy ways that you can help reduce the amount of water in the sewer system: · Delay showers and baths · Flush less frequently · Wait to run the dishwasher or washing machine Do your part to reduce the burden on our wastewater treatment facilities by limiting any unnecessary water use the next 48-72 hours.
