The BALANCED Media|Technology team is honored to see our CTO Corey Clark, Ph.D. be named to the First-Ever AI 75: Meet the Most Innovative Leaders in Artificial Intelligence in @Dallas-Fort Worth by Dallas Innovates. "Clark co-founded and serves as CTO at BALANCED Media Technology, whose tech infrastructure fuses AI and machine learning with data to bring “purpose to play” through distributed computing and human computational gaming. Securing nearly $30 million from various funding sources, the Allen-based company was co-founded with CEO Robert Atkins. The motivation behind establishing BALANCED was to leverage the intersection of human intelligence and machine learning through video games to solve complex problems, particularly in the medical field. This innovative approach works to develop, among other things, AI-powered games that aim to combat human trafficking and treat ocular diseases more efficiently. Clark also is an assistant professor of computer science at Southern Methodist University and deputy director for research at the SMU Guildhall. Dallas-based Megatel Homes broke ground earlier this month on its $1 billion AnaCapri development in Anna, a suburb north of McKinney. Renderings show it’s slated to be built around a huge “lagoon” with a white sand beach featuring cabanas, a restaurant-bar, a jaw-dropping “waterslide tower,” a sprawling splash-play area, and even a FlowRider wave pool for standing-wave surfing. Exciting News! 🌟 This week, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced Health Wildcatters as a Stage One winner for the 2024 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC). The Women in Science and Healthcare (WISH) Network initiative will receive a $50,000 cash prize for its inclusive approach in supporting the launch, growth, and scale of STEM/R&D-focused small businesses and equitable access to entrepreneurship.
