Last week, we were honored to host Taylor denBroeder and Elisa Tinker from the Danville-San Ramon Valley chapter of PFLAG National for an insightful presentation on “When a Loved One Comes Out,” both in-person and remotely, as a part of our Pride Month celebration. This marks the second time our LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, True Colors, has welcomed the local PFLAG chapter, and our team deeply appreciates the compassion and relatability they bring to their presentations. Thank you, PFLAG, for your invaluable support and guidance! #GrowersofGood #LeadwithLove

Let's bust some myths about canned and jarred foods! At Del Monte Foods, we’re increasing sustainability from farm to pantry in many ways. Fact: Most of our fruits and veggies are packed within hours of harvest, locking in nutrients that can last for years. And with many low sodium options, they often offer comparable nutrition to fresh and frozen. Fact: Canned and jarred foods have a longer shelf life and can be used straight from the shelf with no need for chilling or freezing, saving more energy — and more money. Fact: By using "imperfect" produce, we help reduce food waste to help ensure all food reaches its highest and best purpose — to nourish people! Let’s rethink what nutritious and easy meal ingredients look like! https://lnkd.in/gJUJ7tB9 #NutrientRich #GrowersofGood #UpcycledFood

Congratulations to our team members Maggie Streng and Jason T. on their recent graduation from the USC Marshall Executive Education Food Industry Management program! The Food Industry Management program started in 1958 to train future leaders. Each year, a maximum of 35 participants are chosen from a wide range of food companies to participate in the 16-week certificate program. Each participant accepted into the program receives a full-tuition scholarship through the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) and Del Monte Foods. This program is just one example of how our team members can own their career path, with opportunities to grow and stretch in new ways. We’re so honored to support the Food Industry Management program and continued team member growth and development! #GrowersofGood #GrowingTogether

Happy Pride! Throughout the year, we're committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where every team member feels that they truly belong and are valued for their contributions. During Pride month, Del Monte Foods’ employee resource group True Colors has several events and learning opportunities planned for our team members. Coming up on June 25, our friends at the Danville-San Ramon Valley Chapter of PFLAG National will present “When a Loved One Comes Out” and cover how to approach this sensitive and life-changing process in a loved one’s life. We’re looking forward to it! #Pride #GrowersofGood

Nutrition is foundational to a healthy, thriving community, and yet, many communities have historically lacked the access and education they need and deserve. That’s why we’re partnering with nonprofits that address nutrition access for diverse communities through education, workforce development, and other resources. We’re growing and innovating — together! That’s what it means to be a #GrowerofGood at Del Monte Foods. Three years ago our very own R&D team jumped on the rising popularity of boba tea, and now we’re thrilled to share that JOYBA® is expanding production and distribution nationally.
Almost three years ago to the date, we introduced JOYBA® bubble tea in a pilot test, a first-of-its kind product, bringing the boba shop experience to bubble tea lovers anytime, anywhere. Today, I’m excited to share that JOYBA® is expanding production and distribution nationally! This product innovation is a testament to our R&D team’s hard work to jump on the rising popularity of boba tea. We’re thrilled to see the convenience and experience of JOYBA resonate with consumers – especially GenZ – and look forward to sharing in the fun with more people across the country. JOYBA is now available at retailers across the country, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, please do and let me know what you think! https://lnkd.in/gzP2tXHC

Our team members are more than coworkers — they’re Growers of Good! We work hard to keep them healthy and happy by creating a sense of belonging and nourishing their well-being. Last year, in collaboration with AIDS/LifeCycle and Gay For Good, our True Colors Employee Resource Group (ERG) helped raise awareness and funds to end HIV. Volunteers helped set up for the 7-day, 545-mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and donated to both organizations.
