We are thrilled to announce Heidi Goff as Agency Manager for Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi! In this role, Heidi will nurture Doma’s independent agents and approved attorneys, and assist them with closing their transactions in a timely manner and expanding their market share. Launching her career in the title insurance industry in the 1990s, Heid was employed for more than a decade by Investors Title Company in St. Louis, where she started as a policy typist and later moved into preparing commitments, abstracting, processing and closing. For the past seven years, she has worked in the home warranty industry as a senior account executive, most recently for Achosa Home Warranty in Alabama. Prior to that, she worked for title agencies in St. Louis and spent three years in commercial loan servicing and residential loan closing for Midland States Bank. “Because of Heidi’s broad experience, she brings an intuitive and informed wisdom to help our agents with the needs and challenges they face every day,” said Marissa Vest, Assistant Vice President, Regional Agency Manager for Doma’s Southeast Region. “In addition to Heidi’s practical skills, she genuinely enjoys meeting and helping people, and brings a passion and commitment to her work that will help her build strong, business-building partnerships with her agents.” Born and raised in Alabama, Heidi studied English literature and elementary education at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. She is a member of the American Land Title Association and the Louisiana and Southeast Land Title Associations. A longstanding member of the St. Charles County Association of Realtors and the Women’s Council of Realtors when she resided in Missouri, Heidi is currently a member of the Birmingham Association of REALTORS®, Inc. “After more than 25 years in the title insurance, lending and real estate industries, I have learned what title agents need to effectively service their customers,” Heidi said. “First and foremost, they need an underwriter who is accessible and willing to jump in to help in critical situations. That is exactly who Doma is.” A few “fun facts” about Heidi: 🌟When not working, you’ll find her watching football, both in person and on TV! 🌟Heidi’s daughter is starting at the University of Alabama this fall. We are thrilled to announce Gerry Simon as Vice President, Regional Underwriting Counsel for our Northeast region. In this position, Gerry will provide underwriting support to the company’s agents and enterprise operations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as assist with operations throughout New England. Gerry brings nearly three decades of title and settlement services experience to the position, most recently serving as vice president, North Atlantic regional counsel for a national title #insurance underwriter. From 2008 to 2018, he held the position of senior vice president general counsel at SingleSource, a national asset management company that provides services to the REO industry. Prior to that, he worked as agency counsel for title insurance companies in Pittsburgh, serving agents throughout the Midwest region. “Gerry’s broad experience with national underwriters, his handling of leading roles in major title agencies, and the expertise he gained while working with investors in the REO industry make him a valuable addition to the Doma team as well as a strong ally for our agents in the field,” said Valerie J. Grandin, Executive Vice President, Chief Underwriting Counsel. Gerry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in bioscience from Penn State University and his Juris Doctor from Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University. Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, he has served on the Delaware, Ohio and Pennsylvania rating bureaus. Her background also includes a role as senior associate attorney at Langley & Banack, Inc., specializing in banking and real estate law. In her new role, Christina will provide crucial support to independent agents across the tri-state area and collaborate closely with Doma Enterprise and Lennar Title in Texas. Danielle Kaiser, Vice President and Deputy Chief Underwriting Counsel for Doma’s Midwest region, praised Christina's pragmatic approach to underwriting and her adept problem-solving skills, emphasizing her positive impact on agent transactions. Christina earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Political Science from Elmhurst College and her Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Law Center. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Nebraska, actively participating in the business law, corporate counsel, and real estate sections of the Texas Bar. She is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association. Additionally, Christina serves as the local legislative liaison for the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA).
