No more NGL for kids, the FTC rules. Authorities are banning anonymous messaging platform NGL from hosting kids and teens after claiming it falsely touted that it used AI content moderation to filter out “harmful language and bullying.” According to the FTC, the platform initially garnered few users, prompting it to start sending out falsified messages “in an effort to trick consumers into believing that their friends and social media contacts were engaging with them through the NGL App.” Read the article: https://bit.ly/4eY2GZz Interested in learning more on the ethics of AI?
