It was inspiring to hear about the Catchlight Crossings: Affordable Housing Solution project presented by Wendover Group at the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce Economic Interchange Breakfast today. In collaboration with Universal Parks & Resorts, Wendover is transforming 20 acres of prime land in Orlando's tourist corridor into a vibrant community featuring 1,000 units of affordable and mixed-income housing. The project goes beyond housing, with plans for essential amenities like the Bezos Academy tuition-free preschool, medical facilities, a transportation hub, retail spaces, community event areas, technology cafes, maker spaces, gardens, and recreational facilities. This holistic approach includes a neighborhood food pantry, fitness center, game room, playgrounds, pools, and more, all designed to enhance residents' quality of life. This initiative is a significant step towards addressing the need for affordable housing in Orlando, Florida. It showcases a comprehensive vision for a sustainable and inclusive community, prioritizing accessibility, amenities, and a sense of belonging for all residents. Kudos to Universal Parks & Resorts and Wendover Group for this impactful initiative addressing community socioeconomic issues and creating a lasting positive impact for generations to come. 💖
