Looking for open discussion among our friends in Emergency Management, Emergency Services, etc... This is the Polaris Firefighting and Rescue UTV. Ideal for wildfires, remote response, and patrol. Would this be a valuable piece of equipment to have available to you and your respective agencies as rental equipment? Should Echo 1 consider stocking these units? Why or Why Not? What other types of specialized emergency response equipment (fire, law enforcement, medical, etc..) would you like to see available on a turn-key basis?

Case Study: Recently, we had a client call with an all-too-familiar situation. There was an individual that was stuck in a location. In a bad spot. And needed to be recovered and brought home immediately. The call came in at approximately 1800 hours. Within 3 hours, our team had deployed the appropriate resources to execute recovery, ground and air transportation. By the early hours of the morning, the individual was safely back home. There is a lot that goes on in the background to make these missions successful. All efforts are worth in when the people involved are back in a safe environment. Resources involved included armed security, medical personnel, a fixed-wing aircraft, three sets of ground transportation in three separate locations, and a team of four working all contingencies and monitoring the mission in real-time from the office.

Complex logistics support is more than providing charter aircraft, charter buses, hotel rooms, meals…. It is having deep knowledge of the mission and providing a complete solution with appropriate contingencies built-in. Past solutions have involved movement of personnel, cargo, hazmat into and out of conflict zones, remote areas, multiple countries, unmanned airfields. Sometimes, we need to create the solution; floating operation platforms, expeditionary base camps, repurposing old infrastructure, using a passenger plane as a fuel tanker, and more. In April 2024, Echo 1 Emergency Logistics provided turn-key evacuation services for US Citizens escaping the escalating violence in Haiti. Evacuation operations can be required for a number of reasons; war, civil unrest, infectious disease, catastrophic weather events, and more. In most cases, there is not much time to plan. We offer turn-key solutions including tactical analysis, out-reach, security, medical evaluation and treatment, translators, interim-lodging, and other mission-specific services. We provide door-to-door transportation using a variety of aircraft, marine vessels, and over-the-road transportation.
