About us

EHS Support is a global family of engineers, geologists, scientists, and technical experts who specialize in complex environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) challenges across industries—from compliance, acquisitions, and divestitures to remediation management, due diligence for mergers, and responsible party resolution. We’re problem solvers – and we’re passionate about what we do. Back in 2005 we wanted to create a different kind of company that was focused on providing solutions through long-term relationships and by treating both clients and employees with an unmatched level of respect. In short, we provide value to our employees in the form of opportunity and security, and to our clients through practical, effective, long-term solutions. We partner with you to develop technical solutions that address your unique business challenges. We do it all through a diversity of experts in the fields of engineering, science, geology, finance, and health and safety, with people who, through experience, understand facility and business operational requirements. EHS Support understands how to put together the right team and resources for the job. We challenge the status quo to deliver an alternate solution. We treat you as if you’re our only client, putting ourselves in your shoes and focusing on your success. It all adds up to an unmatched level of responsiveness and attention to detail that leads to long-term value.

EHS Support has invested in the latest monitoring equipment to support clients and projects across a wide variety of industries. Our LiCOR multi-gas analyser and dynamic closed chambers are used for the rapid assessment of soil gas flux allowing for robust site characterisation and risk assessment. This equipment is used to monitor, map, and quantify fugitive gas emissions from existing and legacy landfills and other types of sites with potential fugitive subsurface gas emissions, and to assess natural source zone depletion (NSZD) rates at sites contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons. Please feel free to reach out to either Matthew Russ or Joseph Hayes in Australia, or Andrew Fowler in North America, if you would like to hear more about our services. #EHSSupport #LicCOR

Last week, our 2024 Summer Internship Program interns gathered for the data-intensive portion of the program. This immersive experience introduced them to data analysis using R and provided an opportunity to acquire and enhance data-handling skills.  The program is focused on a regional-scale assessment of the Lower Hackensack River in New Jersey and aims to bolster our conceptual understanding of the river, compile and analyze additional in-river data, and expand our working knowledge of the history of this waterway. Interns in this year’s cohort are focusing their efforts on four key areas: • Sediment transport and hydrodynamics conceptualization • Ecological risk assessment conceptualization • GIS-based Lower Hackensack River data viewer application upgrades • Additional shoreline facility assessments Our interns are officially halfway through the 10-week assignment. Wishing them success throughout the remainder of the program and looking forward to celebrating their accomplishments during the 2024 Summer Internship Reception on August 15!

Join us in congratulating Andrew Rumsby on becoming a Certified Environmental Practitioner and Site Contamination Specialist (CEnvP-SCS)! Andrew is an environmental consultant with over 20 years of experience investigating contaminated sites and water discharges. His experience and depth of knowledge allows him to offer innovative and site-specific solutions to contaminated land issues. An impressive 60% of our New Zealand team now holds this certification. This accomplishment demonstrates EHS Support’s dedication to being leaders in the contaminated land field and to ensuring our expert consultants have the skills, qualifications and professional development opportunities needed to best support our clients. With great people and a great culture, great things happen! #CEnvP #EHSSupport

Our 2024 Summer Internship Program, which focuses on a regional-scale assessment of the Lower Hackensack River in New Jersey, is well underway. We are so thankful to have such a motivated, hardworking, and talented team of interns. Let's take the opportunity to find out more about their backgrounds and what they enjoy doing outside of completing field work or compiling and analyzing data! #meettheinterns #2024SummerInternship

Over the past year, we've nearly doubled in size, tackling challenging site remediation projects across the US, including former and active heavy industry sites, chemical plants, and refineries. These remediation engineering projects involve a breadth of solutions related to soil, groundwater, and sediment. Current major projects include hazardous waste landfill closures, in-situ soil stabilization, in-situ groundwater bioremediation, hydraulic barriers, construction of large-scale groundwater water treatment plants, and major sediment dredging and capping projects.
