Thank you to The Community Service Team Duke Energy Corporation Marshall Steam Station for your generous $5000 gift to support FeedNC's Summer Supply Drive on Saturday, July 20th! Thank you to Jeff Flanagan, Plant Manager, and Tim Coeburn, Operations Manager for stopping by to present this impactful gift.  Join us on this Saturday! Can't make it, check out other ways to be a part here: https://lnkd.in/ezwqWz6y School’s out, but hunger doesn’t take a vacation. FeedNC experiences an influx of children and families seeking nutritional support during summer. Because of you, FeedNC’s dignified programs serve over 5,000 neighbors in need, including 1,500 children, to ensure their time away from school isn’t plagued by hunger. Summer is the slowest donation season of the year and with rising food prices and the cost of living, your compassion ensures kids don’t go hungry.

Meet Nariah! An aspiring little chef who inspires us all! She loves seeing all the equipment in the teaching classroom as part of FeedNC's free Culinary Workforce Development Program. Her favorite chef is Gordon Ramsay and I would love to get her a signed picture. Does anyone have connections? If so, mail to FeedNC / attn Bonnie Battalia 2456 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville NC 28117. Through community programs, at FeedNC, we teach and empower the youngest community members to be and feel comfortable in the kitchen. We offer kids cooking classes and a summer Building Healthy Habits Program with the support of Trane Technologies! We are grateful. https://lnkd.in/e3XwXi9x https://lnkd.in/etAuuh_z

Volunteer Spotlight! This is Deborah! She has been volunteering with FeedNC for over 25 years and served on the board for 7 years! She began volunteering with FeedNC when she came with a group, which evolved into other groups and volunteering individually. "I believe in our mission. I like to help people. You will get out as much as you put in." Fun facts about Deborah: She enjoys being on Lake Norman! Boating, swimming, tubing, and floating... Deborah says she could float for hours! She volunteers in other areas of the community, including fostering animals!

July is one of our favorite months because it kicks off our annual Summer Supply Drive! Since this season is the slowest time of the year for donations, we’re putting out the call and asking for your help in collecting 12,000 lbs. of donated food! Consider setting up a collection box and your business! (take a pic and tag us). The need for groceries and at-home nutrition has increased this year as more children are coming to us with school being out. If you can donate, we’re open from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, to accept your generous gift! Thank you for considering us!
