    Last night's dinner in San Francisco highlighted our community's strength and shared vision. We discussed crucial topics influencing talent acquisition and development, which are vital for our ongoing success. Karen Henke & Allison A. shared some key points with us: 1️⃣ There has been a shift from competing for talent to an abundance of incoming talent and few openings, a flip from high attrition to a record low. 2️⃣ Old metrics matter less in a low-growth environment. What matters is showcasing tangible value to the business beyond meeting recruitment targets. 3️⃣ The evolving role of recruiters, where automation allows for increased focus on onboarding and orienting new hires, and its impact on the quality of each hire. 4️⃣ Candidate experience, employer brand, and DEI remain important values and discussion topics.     Last week I took the week off to watch my son attend the Real Madrid Foundation Camps USA event here in Boise. My plan was to sit on the sidelines watching, learn some new drills to take into our new season and, most likely, still be connected to the day-to-day at work. The Friday before the camp, I got a call asking if I could support the camp as a local coach. Not only was it a great opportunity to learn from the Technical Directors, but it also forced me to actually check out and focus entirely on something other than work. I return to the office today with a larger inbox than originally planned, but I’m grateful to have been able to take the time off, which would not have been possible without the brilliant team around me at Findem. And now, I get to return the favour this week for a number of team members.
