Enabling our world to launch, land, and orbit in space. Anytime. Anywhere.
About us
As an end-to-end space transportation company, Firefly Aerospace is on a mission to enable our world to launch, land, and operate in space – anywhere, anytime. Our small- to medium-lift launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles provide more affordable, responsive, and reliable space access for government and commercial customers. We achieve this by utilizing advanced carbon composite structures, patented propulsion technologies, and common components across our vehicles that allow us to scale efficiencies, improve reliability, and lift heavier payloads at a lower cost.

Let's show off the next BGM1 integrated payload - Lunar Magnetotelluric Sounder (LMS) payload from the Southwest Research Institute! LMS will provide groundbreaking insights into the Moon's mantle by measuring electric and magnetic fields. This critical data will help us understand the Moon's temperature structure, thermal evolution, and how it has cooled and differentiated since its formation.

Miranda is making moves! Just 24 hours after completing a 60 second hot fire on our full length engine, the team nailed mission duty cycle at 206 seconds, matching the longest engine burn during flight. With this milestone behind us, we're setting the pace in bringing the new medium class of launch vehicles to market. Northrop Grumman

We have a few more integrated #BlueGhost payloads to show before we ship for environmental testing! Next up is the Lunar PlanetVac (LPV) developed by Honeybee Robotics, a Blue Origin Company. LPV will deploy to the Moon’s surface and demonstrate pneumatic sample collection of lunar regolith by collecting and sorting regolith within its sample collection chamber.

This photo taken during our #FLTA005 Alpha launch captured a tender moment between one of our fireflies and his son as he said. “Your daddy helped build that rocket.” Thank you to all the families behind the scenes supporting our team as we inspire the next generation to dream big. #NoiseOfSummer
