Producing a hit TV series like The Bear was once a path to serious riches for its cast and creators. The half-hour drama, which returns to Hulu for its third season on Wednesday night, is everything a modern TV series aspires to be—an awards juggernaut, a ratings powerhouse and a cultural touchstone since its debut in June 2022. But in another massive entertainment shift, developing groundbreaking shows is worth hundreds of millions less than it used to be. https://trib.al/PpkOXlA

Most employers plan to return to the office in 2024 according to a recent study, and nearly a third stated that they would fire employees who insisted on working from home. Workers want to know why. https://trib.al/wadewID

Joe Biden’s big cash advantage over Donald Trump is gone. Trump’s main super-PAC, which entered May trailing Biden’s operation by $20 million, made up ground after a New York jury convicted the former president on 34 felony counts. No one donated more than Timothy Mellon, a banking heir who shelled out $50 million the day after the verdict. But Biden has rich friends, too. Concentrated in Silicon Valley and New York, they have already funneled $77 million to groups backing the president (and, in some cases, his allies). None of the president’s donors are richer, or more generous, than Michael Bloomberg, who has spent more money on federal elections than anyone in American history. Having given $20 million so far this cycle, the former New York City mayor is already at the top of Biden’s list of donors. Still, his 2024 outlay amounts to less than 2% of the total he spent during the 2020 election, when Bloomberg mounted his own bid for president. The upshot: Biden could leap ahead of Trump in a hurry, if Bloomberg spends even one-tenth of the total he did the last time. Have you ever had a coworker constantly emphasize how busy they are, detailing the endless tasks on their plate or the late hours they work? While it might seem harmless, this behavior can significantly damage workplace relationships over time. https://trib.al/QiEP7NZ

Finding a remote job is difficult enough. But locating a fully remote job that pays more than $200,000? The chances are slimmer than ever before. While employers may be clamping down on their work-from-home policies for their high-earning, white-collar employees, there are still some industries that tend to favor remote work, at least slightly more than others. https://trib.al/apj5Ec5
