Four Oaks President and CEO Mary Beth O'Neill and Foster SQUAD President Traci Schermerhorn met with Gov. Kim Reynolds' team this week to talk about Operation Santa Iowa! Four Oaks and Foster SQUAD are super excited to partner with Gov. Reynolds and her team to make sure every child in foster care receives a gift this holiday season.

Christmas in July? That's right! We're announcing our Operation Santa collaboration with Foster SQUAD and we're getting started early to make this a successful initiative! Four Oaks is partnering with Foster SQUAD and 20 other nonprofits throughout Iowa to host over 20 holiday parties for children placed out of home. Our mission is to make sure that every single child in care can submit a wish list and receive gifts from members of their communities. Will you help us? Alannah, a student from Marengo, recently completed a project that included putting together 150 care bags for children entering foster care. This project was in collaboration with her becoming an uncommon student of the Herbert Hoover Foundation. Thank you Alannah for thinking of children for this project!

As the Youth Development Associate you will be responsible the development and coordination of youth activities, positive role-modeling for youth in areas of problem-solving and social skill development, working constructively with parents and other family members to foster youth engagement, and assisting with basic life-skills related training needs of clients and staff.
