About us

WHERE DO WE START? How about Kansas City? That’s our home. That’s where Garmin put a stake in the ground in 1989. We’ve grown substantially over the years, offering diverse products and global reach in 5 diverse markets. But some things won’t ever change: Our entrepreneurial spirit and a culture where everyone’s opinion matters. That’s because we believe it’s possible to light the tech world on fire and still be on a first name basis. BIG IDEAS, SMALL EGOS What we do best is make products that let our customers do what they love. To do that, we focus on practical innovation, never losing sight of the benefits our products bring to our customers. Sure, we love bells and whistles. What leading technology company doesn't? But we make sure ours have purpose. It’s not about the things we make. It’s about the things we make possible. WE’RE GLOBAL, SERIOUSLY. Yeah, we’re based in Kansas City, but we are truly a global company. With offices throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, South America and Australia, our products are sold all over the world. One elevator ride at our headquarters and you’re likely to hear 4 (or more) different languages being spoken. At Garmin, we may act local, but we think global. DREAM BIG. SLEEP WELL. At Garmin, we like to encourage dreamers. But at some point it’s nice to wake up and enjoy a fully aware life. So we make it super easy to achieve a good balance between working, dreaming and enjoying life—from workout classes offered throughout the day, breaks to get out and move on our campus, and wellness programs offered throughout the year. It’s almost impossible not to take advantage of Garmin’s work-life balance opportunities.

We're hosting high school students this week for an engineering camp at our US Headquarters in Olathe! Students are gaining valuable STEM insights and hands-on electrical, mechanical and software engineering experience by working with Garmin engineers to build a small mechanical robot or rover. On the last day of camp, the students will participate in a rover competition to show their parents and guests what they've learned! Read more >> http://ms.spr.ly/6043lPqfz

Since 1996, Garmin associates have generously supported our impactful United Way Campaign in collaboration with the good folks at United Way of Greater Kansas City. Behind the scenes, campaign managers Cassie Cozby and Jennifer Pozzuolo, who were nominated for the Employee Campaign Manager of the Year at last night’s The Waymaker Awards, tirelessly plan and execute strategies that make a significant impact on communities. In the video below, hear from Garmin CEO Cliff Pemble and Vice President of Human Resources Laurie Minard about the award nomination and the contributions of Cassie and Jen.

Cassie Cozby and Jennifer Pozzuolo, PHR serve as Employee Campaign Managers at Garmin. Together, they are nominated for Employee Campaign Manager of the Year at The Waymaker™ Awards! "Cassie and Jen are just such a dynamic duo. They lead our United Way campaign. They're genuinely caring people that create a culture of giving whether it's through volunteering, giving money or just providing resources for people who need help," said Laurie Minard, Vice President of Human Resources at Garmin. Garmin is now over $3 million in giving and their impact continues, thanks to Cassie and Jennifer. "Jen took over our United Way campaign when she first joined back in 2007. Since then, we've grown over 30 times in our giving, but our employee base has only grown four times. So you can see the effect of running the campaigns and how they've invested in it over the years has driven success for us and much more giving across our entire employee base," said Clifton Pemble, Chief Executive Office, Garmin. We will announce our winner on Thursday, July 11 and tickets are still available at buff.ly/3Vct2zU #KansasCity #WaymakerAwards #Garmin

Congrats to our July Associate of the Month, Chris! He began his career 15 years ago in Garmin product support. Since then, he's found purpose and passion in the product quality team where he helps identify, solve and prevent issues for all of our products.
