Global News Service

The Global News Service (GNS) provides audiences and partners around the world with factual and reliable news content from a global perspective, promoting responsible journalism and fostering well-informed public discourse free of bias. GNS magnifies and distributes fact-based and uncensored news content to counter malign information manipulation. Through curation, translation (into Mandarin and English), and dissemination of content about China created by Voice of America (VOA), Radio Free Asia (RFA), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), Middle East Broadcasting Networks (MBN) and Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB), GNS aims to build global communities with credible media partners through active engagement and collaboration, content exchange and sharing to maximize the impact of the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) and its entities. GNS is an initiative being incubated by the Frontline Media Fund (FMF), a private nonprofit, funded by the U.S. Congress through USAGM. GNS's editorial independence is protected by U.S. law.
