Had the opportunity to participate in an interesting panel discussion with colleagues from Weill, Greenbacker, Apollo, and Blackstone at the Reuters Global Energy Transition Conference. Excellent conversation with various perspectives regarding investment opportunities in the energy transition.

Our Chief Client Officer, Susan Nickey, spoke with Barbara Humpton for the latest episode of The Optimistic Outlook, an award-winning podcast from Siemens USA spotlighting the technologies transforming American industry and infrastructure. Barbara delves into Susan's career as they explore clean power's past and future. Key questions answered include: What needs to be done to get the clean energy transition moving faster? And what’s the role of renewables as electricity demand surges to support a data center boom driven by generative AI? Susan and Barbara also discussed how permitting reform and workforce development can further catalyze the massive private sector investment in clean energy spurred by the IRA. 🎧 Listen to the full episode: https://lnkd.in/ezQWNvVW

#Investment into clean energy isn’t just the choice for a #sustainable future, it’s a strategic advantage for our energy economy. In the U.S., we have seen strong #renewable energy #growth from the Inflation Reduction Act (#IRA), which has increased #jobs in manufacturing and will bring more secure supply chains in the nation’s long-term. Learn more from the International Energy Agency (IEA) of how #cleanenergy is skyrocketing global energy investment: https://iea.li/4ccFswV

This week, a group of our dedicated HASI crew rolled up their sleeves for a rewarding volunteer day at Quiet Waters Park, a beautiful 340-acre sanctuary for both visitors and wildlife, not far from our HQ in Annapolis. They tackled the invasive Asiatic Bittersweet vines, which choke the life out of trees by blocking their nutrient and water flows. Big thanks to Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks for giving us the chance to connect together outside and play a part in restoring the park's natural balance.

This #PrideMonth, we join our LGBTQ+ colleagues and friends in celebrating the progress they’ve made towards equality, while acknowledging both the obstacles the community still faces and the critical work that remains to be done to build a safer and more accepting world. This weekend, our incredible employees once again took part in the Annapolis Pride Parade to show our solidarity and support of this important work. Thank you to everyone who made this event special, especially the HASI Q+ Business Resource Group, a team dedicated to empowering members of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, promoting the community’s advancement at all levels. #PrideMonth
