Earlier this month, Health Choice Network’s Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Timothy Long, attended and spoke at Epic’s Connect Collaboration event. This annual event focuses on strategy, governance, and best practices for long-term success. Dr. Long, along with Maritza Torres, APRN, Vice President of Medical Affairs from Tampa Family Health Centers, spoke about the use cases of Signal data to target providers for optimization training. Earlier this month, HCN's Clinical Quality team attended the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) Million Hearts Harvest Meeting to close out Year 6 of the Preventing Heart Attacks and Strokes program. Portia Anderson from Broward Community & Family Health Centers Inc, Alyssa Benson from Evara Health and Leon Bain from Jessie Trice Community Health System, Inc. were in attendance as well. The Improving Cholesterol Management project participants met our targets for both the cholesterol screening and statin therapy for high risk patients goals. The participating health centers developed posters which were showcased, and walked away with considerations in choosing and sustaining quality improvement interventions to continue their work for years to come. This past Friday, BCOM’s very own Rosalyn Frazier (CEO) and Jerson Dulis (Director of Outreach & Development) had the honor of presenting at the Health Choice Network’s 30th Annual Board Educational Conference! 🌟 Their presentation, titled “Engaging the Community Through Research,” highlighted BCOM’s dedication to community engagement projects, showcasing the research, outcome data, and significant health improvements achieved throughout our community. We also want to congratulate our very own Portia Anderson, Director of Quality Improvement, for winning the Betsey K. Cooke Center MVP award! We were proud to present alongside other incredible health centers, including CAMILLUS HEALTH CONCERN, INC. , Hawai'i Island Community Health Center, and FoundCare, Inc.
