Sugar Land is leveling up its innovation game. The City's Department of Innovation and the Sugar Land Regional Airport entered into a research partnership with Hire Henry, a startup that creates AI lawnmowers (think: self-driving cars but with lawnmowers). This mutually beneficial relationship allows airport staff who maintains the grass along the runway to test technology that could increase their productivity and free their hands to work on other meaningful projects, while Hire Henry gets to work with a municipality to see if this is a viable market for their business – who doesn’t love a win-win? The City recently entered phase two of the research partnership, so we can’t wait to see where this lawnmower takes us!
