This summer, keep following the 3️⃣ pillars of the Christian faith: 🙏 PRAY (hfny.org/pray) 💙 SERVE (hfny.org/serve) 💰 GIVE (hfny.org/give) Thank you for continuing to support Hope for New York and our network of affiliates! (P.S. Here's our staff serving at 9 Million Reasons in LIC earlier this year!)

Serving vulnerable and marginalized neighbors in New York City for close to 30 years.
About us
Hope for New York’s mission is to provide volunteer and financial resources to organizations serving the poor and marginalized of New York City. We partner with more than 40 nonprofit organizations to serve New Yorkers in need, including the homeless, vulnerable women, at-risk youth, immigrant populations, and the elderly. We seek to strengthen these organizations, called "affiliates," by giving grants to support their programs, mobilizing volunteers, and providing training and consulting so they can do their work even better. Our vision is a New York City in which individuals and communities experience spiritual, personal, social and economic well-being through the demonstration of Christ’s love.

Trinity Baptist, our church partner, has been volunteering together as a Men's Group at various faith-based organizations this year! Making sure that our affiliate leaders are supported is important to our work. Throughout the year, we provide Learning Labs (consultant-led workshops) on a variety of topics like fund development. We've hosted cohorts for Executive Directors (all women!) plus a special joint seminar with Redeemer City to City on the steps to become a 501(c)3.

Summer is here (and so is a heat wave)! See how some of our affiliates welcome the warm weather with fun activities for families and kids: Dream Center, Hillside Center for Education, Operation Exodus, Shiloh NYC, and Urban Hope. P.S. School may be out for summer soon, but it doesn't mean our affiliates stop their crucial work!

Congratulations to St. Paul's House for winning Pitch Night this year! Every year, we host a Pitch Night event where three affiliates are chosen to pitch ideas for a chance to win a $20,000 Community Investment Award. Along with St. Paul's House, both Code for Life and Thrive Collective also pitched and received $10,000 each! St. Paul's House will be investing in a van that will change how they mobilize resources across their programs, Code for Life will invest in a summer coding program, and Thrive Collective will invest in a community art hub. Join us in congratulating our affiliates! 📸 www.austinwideman.com

Our expensive city can make basic necessities hard to come by, and many food insecure New Yorkers rely on pantries and meal programs to supplement what they can’t afford. For over 25 years, The Father’s Heart has been feeding hungry New Yorkers—hear how they We're also excited to announce a special campaign that will keep providing for hungry New Yorkers this month, with a generous donor match of $25,000! hfny.org/foodfund

Our Spring Benefit was last week! We had a wonderful night with all our guests, as we highlighted the food insecurity needs that affects 1.3 million people in our city. Special thanks to Russel Rader of Reunion Church for hosting, Marian Hutchins for sharing the ways The Father's Heart Ministries feeds hungry New Yorkers, and Julia An for sharing why she remains a strong Hope for New York supporter! We're so thankful for everyone who spent an unforgettable night supporting our work!

We're ready for a magical and unforgettable New York City night at our Spring Benefit for young professionals! There will be beautiful views, and we'll share ways everyone can make a difference in feeding food insecure New Yorkers. See you at The Bowery Hotel in a few hours! hfny.org/springbenefit Design by David Sankey (davidsankey.net)

Volunteers are so vital in supporting our affiliate partners and caring for neighbors in need. When Hope for New York was founded 30+ years ago, we started as an organization that connected people of faith to organizations that needed help. At the start of #volunteerappreciationweek, we want to say *thank you* to our network of volunteers! Photos by Brittany Buongiorno (wearekinmedia.com)
