At HISD, Excellence is Expected in how our students are educated, how we all work together, and how we serve our communities. It has been incredible to celebrate the Greatness Graduated, recognizing remarkable achievement across the District this school year. HISD will continue to share more stories of Excellence and Greatness this upcoming school year, and can't wait to see our students back in the classroom on August 12.

HISD is creating global opportunities for students! To prepare for their five-day journey to Tokyo, Japan, HISD 8th graders participated in a fun scavenger hunt at 99 Ranch Market to dive into Japanese culture. This was followed by lunch at Yokushi Robata, where they mastered their chopsticks skills thanks to HISD Nutrition. After hands-on learning about Japanese customs, foods, and etiquette, the young travelers were prepped and ready for an unforgettable journey! 🇯🇵
