Alcoa® Wheels Howmet Aerospace had an incredible opportunity to collaborate with the Forging Industry Association for their summer camp Forge the Future Camp Cleveland in Cuyahoga Community College, aimed at middle grade students interested in exploring careers in manufacturing. Our team was thrilled to share a behind-the-scenes look at our manufacturing processes through an engaging company video and an educational presentation. Students learned all about the forging process for Alcoa® Wheels, gaining valuable insights into the world of manufacturing. A special shoutout to our talented process engineer, Matthew Brockett, who captivated the students with a hands-on demo using miniature forging dies. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm as they participated in the demo and took part in a fun quiz conducted by our amazing interns. To top it all off, we brought out an antique Play-Doh forging press, giving the students a tangible and memorable experience of the forging process. We remain passionate about inspiring the next generation and showcasing the exciting possibilities within manufacturing. Thank you to the Forging Industry Association for hosting such an impactful event.
