Happy #FeelGoodFriday! The Hughes Helps team had the honor of volunteering at our local Fisher House! We cooked up some delicious meals for some incredible veterans and their families. Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge while their loved ones receive care. 💻 #FeelGoodFriday Spotlight 💻 We Care Tucson is on a mission to bridge the digital divide, and Hughes Federal Credit Union is proud to be part of this journey. Recently, we had the pleasure of sponsoring We Care Tucson’s Summer Youth Tech Camp. We took the kids on an exciting tour, showing them the ins and outs of our operations and our cybersecurity team had a great time talking to the kids on digital safety. Who knows, maybe we inspired some future fintech superstars! We Care Tucson is doing incredible work. They collect and refurbish old tech—computers, monitors, cell phones—and keep them out of landfills. This tech recycling effort gives economically challenged families access to technology and opportunities they might not otherwise have. Plus, they provide medical equipment rentals, ensuring everyone has what they need to live comfortably and safely. Hughes believes in the power of education and the importance of giving back. It’s a #FeelGoodFriday and we’re talking about the Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation! This amazing organization helps young Arizonans become tomorrow’s leaders. With programs in STEM, healthy living, public speaking, and more, over 200,000 kids are getting a head start on a bright future. Hughes is a proud supporter of 4-H’s mission to provide advocacy, sustained funding support and increased opportunities for all 4-H youth and adult volunteers in the State of Arizona. A special shoutout to Emily, Hughes' marketing strategist, who serves on the 4-H board and chaired the scholarship committee. Our Hughes Helps team had a fantastic time volunteering with Youth On Their Own. We packaged hygiene items for girls at YOTO's Mini Mall – a vital resource where students access basic needs for free and receive much-needed support. YOTO’s dedication over the last 35 years has empowered over 20,000 homeless youth in Pima County to stay in school and achieve their goals. A huge thank you to YOTO for all you do. Future financial whizzes in the making! Hughes was thrilled to join Mini Poderosas at their 2024 Summer Camp.
