This position is a Sunday-Thursday Visitor Services position responsible for the management of all Visitor Services operations and staff in the absence of the Visitor Services Coordinator. This position assists in the teaching and implementation of ongoing programs within multiple disciplines targeted to PreK-12th grade students, teachers, youth groups, families, and adults. This role also engages visitors from early childhood to adult in inquiry-based experiences related to the museum’s collection and exhibitions. The candidate in this position will work up to 19.5 hours a week, Tuesday- Saturday shifts between 9am-5pm. The position will require occasional evening work, as needed. The Technical Records Specialist Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting research, writing, and editing content on historical topics related to the Old Idaho Penitentiary. Additionally, the role involves contributing to educational programming, creating exhibits, and providing tours of the facilities. This position lasts for 4 months and 28 days, followed by a 30-day separation before the possibility of rehire.
