With the cost of pediatric cancer care easily surpassing its average of $425,000, St. Jude covers the entire cost of treatments from generous donations. St. Jude treats over 8,000 patients annually, and its donations help families pay for treatment, housing, food costs, and travel for patients, their parents, and their family members. There are many ways to get involved with St. Jude - the hospital offers school and sports fundraising, workplace campaigns, grants, and more. Meet Indexer, Christine Berbick, MHA! Based in Southern California, Christine was introduced to our company as a contractor in November 2022 and officially started with us in December 2023. As a Case Analyst on the Technical Assistance team, Christine meticulously screens out-of-network payment disputes and ensures IDREs meet the Federal No Surprises Act eligibility recommendation requirements. Her advanced research experience and commitment to using root cause analysis for dispute recommendation reviews are invaluable to her team. Christine's favorite part about her role is the people with whom she works. Despite working remotely and in different locations across the country, her team has a unique connection with each other. She particularly appreciates how she feels like her voice is heard and that her contributions are valued by her team. Christine is grateful for the opportunity to positively impact the Healthcare/IT industry and is inspired to pivot into a healthcare compliance role. Index’s philanthropy team is excited to announce our new partnership with the Children's Chorus of Carroll County, a 501(c) 3 organization providing central Maryland children with accessible and quality music and choral experiences. The Children's Chorus of Carroll County exposes students to music from a broad spectrum of historical, cultural, and ethnic styles, thus nurturing a respect for diversity. The organization also provides its students opportunities to develop skills imperative to their growth as young individuals, such as teamwork, personal excellence, self-discipline, responsibility, self‐control, self‐expression, personal confidence, and community service.
