Last month, we celebrated four five-year milestone work anniversaries — Alex Magee (Electrical Designer), Brian Stone, CPA (Associate, Assistant Controller), Christopher McAlevy (Commissioning Agent), and Anny Hoang (Sr. Project Team Coordinator). Supervisors like to share a congratulatory note to mark the achievement. To wit: Principal Cody Bargholz notes, that "Alex has exhibited remarkable growth as both an engineer and lighting designer. His positive attitude and eagerness to tackle technically challenging tasks has been key to his rapid development." "Brian, you have been a wealth of information and a tremendous help to me. I appreciate all you do and look forward to working with you for the next 5 years!" shares Chief Financial Officer, Tammy Cranmore. Principal Nick Marcyan, CxA, CCP notes: "Chris has done an excellent job of adapting his technical and analytical skills for the commissioning team. Chris’s can-do attitude and his ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously has proven to be a valuable asset to our team." "Anny is such a foundational part of our team and an invaluable contributor to Interface overall. She continues to expand her knowledge and responsibilities year after year and always does what is best for the company." explains Principal Wesley Lau. Our Team Members are exceptional in their dedication to the company and our clients. As a thank you, we created our ReCharge Program, where on special milestone anniversaries, team members get a gift and a work break. #interfaceengineering #teammilestones https://lnkd.in/ejTMcWNz

Thank you Christian and Truebeck Construction! Definitely a milestone to celebrate! #interfaceengineering #healthcare
We celebrated a major milestone last week topping out the Link Building at the San Mateo Medical Center. This long awaited moment has been in the works for years requiring some complex coordination with various projects under the California Department of Health Care Access and Information & the County of San Mateo. As part of the Taylor Design + Truebeck Construction Design Build team, I am grateful to be working with all those involved! Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) BKF Engineers Interface Engineering, Inc.

Such a great project Opsis Architecture; & museum, something for everyone. Can't wait to see it come to fruition and be christened with - "great pomp and circumstance." #interfaceengineering #maritimemuseum

The new 24,500 sf Mariners Hall will expand the museum’s role in maritime culture, offering an immersive educational experience and attracting tourists, students, and researchers alike. Mariners Hall will be a hub for maritime education and exploration, featuring over 24 vessels, a suspended US Coast Guard helicopter, the Bulkhead—a 200-foot-long, two-level spine showcasing hundreds of maritime artifacts—the Boatworks, an all-ages STEAM learning lab, and outdoor connections to the museum’s campus. International Women in Engineering Day is not only an opportunity to spotlight amazing women in our engineering community, but also a chance to promote engineering as a career. #DiscoverE notes that women make up only 16% of practicing engineers. And that Black, Latina, and Native American women account for only 4% of Bachelor of Engineering degrees combined. We can all work to help introduce every student to #engineering and tech. #interfaceengineering #INWED2024

Join us in congratulating Kate Jones, PE, Senior Mechanical Engineer, a Consulting-Specifying Engineer 40 Under 40 Winner! The annual program recognizes the most talented young engineering and building professionals. Winners are experts in their respective fields, able to balance a high level of work and their families, as well as community involvement. Candidates are nominated by a colleague or mentor and judged by industry experts based on nine areas. From learning the basics of engineering and Revit modeling as a college intern, to being a newly licensed senior mechanical engineer today, Jones strives to continually learn and challenge herself. She enjoys working in an industry where energy efficiency is at the forefront and where sustainability choices are visible and impactful on building- and community-level scales. She sees particular value in encouraging and building the next generation of engineers — especially women interested in engineering fields. Jones is an active member of #ASHRAE and #SocietyofWomenEngineers and has served as a Whitworth University Engineering Advisory Board member since 2018. Outside of work, she volunteers in her community, providing respite foster care for local families, donating platelets at the Red Cross, and serving meals to the unhoused. And if that was not enough, for the last four summers she has organized and led a backpacking trip for female friends to help them learn backpacking and wilderness skills. We are bursting with pride. Congratulations Kate! #interfaceengineering #cse40under40 https://lnkd.in/erepErfc
