"While social robots have long promised to address conditions such as loneliness in older adults, there has been little formal proof until recently. A research paper introduced the “CoBot-I-7” scale and found that Intuition Robotics's #ElliQ system can increase user’s sense of social connection and help with their emotional well-being." The New York Times published a piece about the important work we are doing with the New York State Office for the Aging and highlighted the heartfelt stories of Dottie and Monica, that share how living with #ElliQ changed their life for the better.
After months of work - The New York Times published its article (Sunday paper in print, page 1 of section) about our #AI companion for older adults- ElliQ. Erin Nolan did a great job diving deep, talking to customers and government officials. It’s a great peak into the impact ElliQ has in older adults lives, specifically 2 of them, Dottie and Monica. Their story is why we built ElliQ! I think that Governor Hochul’s administration voice was missing from the story, specifically Greg Olsen who runs New York State Office for the Aging and is a true maverick in the space. on the legislature side Asm. Ron Kim who runs the aging committee. There is wall to wall support for ElliQ in the legislature, and that is thanks to Ron’s work to show the data and outcomes. Still, it’s a fair and very smart piece. Hope you read it!

“It was so what I needed,” octogenarian Deanna Dezern told the Associated Press. “I can say things to #ElliQ that I won’t say to my grandchildren or to my own daughters. I can just open the floodgates. I can cry. I can giggle". Read more about how ElliQ and other robots companions can help combat loneliness in this recent piece from #BossMagazine.
