    Starting the week with another 5-star review from one of our candidates! 🌟 "Very friendly, transparent, & easy-to-reach recruiter." Many things will change and evolve, but our philosophy on providing a great candidate experience will remain the same. The simple truth is - a candidate's experience should be short and sweet (just like this review).  The recruiter should be responsive and available. The candidate should receive regular, meaningful updates and communication. When was the last time you mapped out your candidate experience? Is it 5-star worthy? Many #retail companies have implemented technology into their recruiting process that has unintentionally made it complicated and inefficient. We talked to one retail leader recently who said their current process includes 13 asks from the candidate and emails from 4 different people. This is all BEFORE an offer. Yuck. We're thrilled to hear that this review came from a candidate who had a positive experience with our team, finding them not only friendly but also transparent and easily accessible!     Did you know that #Transparency is one of our core values at J Recruiting? What do we mean by that? So many people and organizations will say they’re transparent, but what does it look like to live out that value?  For our team, it looks like being honest and upfront with our clients in everything from sharing candidate information to what we’re seeing out there in the candidate market.     "Tell me something about yourself” Giving a confident answer to this question creates a positive first impression and sets you up with confidence for the rest of your interview. So, how do you answer this most common interview question? We like the tip below from @how2become.com recommends using the SEAT structure. S.E.A.T! S stands for the SKILLS and STRENGTHS you can bring to the position. E stands for the EDUCATIONAL qualifications and EXPERIENCE you can offer the company. A stands for one significant ACHIEVEMENT you have gained in your life so far, either from a previous working role, or your personal life. T stands for the TYPE of person you are and what you will do in the role if they hire you. Make sure you use the S.E.A.T structure to get the highest scores achievable. And, you can remember the S.E.A.T structure because you will be sitting in an interview SEAT! Resilience is a quality our clients frequently mention when describing their ideal candidate. They seek individuals who understand there will be challenging days and who can envision and reach the end goal beyond the obstacles. Share examples of tough challenges, ambitious goals, and difficult situations you've navigated. How did you lead your team to achieve the end goal?
