Big news! Today, we’re announcing our first planned mission to space.
In 2025, Katalyst is partnering with Motiv, DARPA, and NRL to install our space domain awareness upgrade (SIGHT) on several satellites in geosynchronous orbit.
These satellites are going to be used by Space Force Delta 11 as part of the National Space Test and Training Complex (NSTTC), the US military’s training ground in space.
Delta 11 wanted the NSTTC satellites to be equipped with space domain awareness capabilities, instead of relying on ground-based data sources 35,000km away.
This mission will make it possible for them to get that data, without having to launch new satellites.
This mission represents a major milestone for in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM), which has previously only been used in technology demonstrations.
We are proud to be supporting the first ISAM related project to solve an immediate need for the Space Force.
