Last week, our Summer Associates participated in a dynamic Lunch & Learn session with Senior Attorneys Loren Laskoski and Erica Pereira. They delved into the intricacies of the client intake process and emphasized the importance of building strong client relationships right from the start. Our Summer Associate program is designed to provide law students with invaluable mentorship from our experienced attorneys, offering insights and knowledge that go beyond the classroom. We are now accepting applications for the 2025 Summer Associate program. If you're a rising 2L student eager to learn and grow with us, explore the program details at the link below. #LegalCareers #SummerAssociates #Mentorship #LawStudents #ClientRelations https://lnkd.in/eZyuYaDn

We had the honor of having retired Judge Paul Chernoff present at our monthly Keches College seminar. He spoke about the importance of compassion, respect, and reputation in our profession through compelling and humorous stories. He is truly an example of the best that the MA Judiciary has ever had to offer. It is no surprise that he continues to be active and involved in our bar and a successful mediator and arbitrator as well. I am proud to call him a mentor and a friend.

Join Keches Law Group Trial Attorney and MBA Program Chair, Lisa M. Conserve, for a Zoom webinar on May 22nd titled "Mediation 101: A Primer on the Process". Register online at MassBar.org/events or call 617-338-0530. When a lawsuit is filed, most parties assume they will end up in court to resolve their dispute. However, mediation is becoming an increasingly popular option to settle a wide variety of disputes. With its increase in use and popularity, it’s important to understand what mediation is, how it differs from court, and its potential benefits. Join the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section, Dispute Resolution Section and Young Lawyers Division, along with an esteemed panel of practitioners, mediators and judges, as they take a deeper dive into the finer points of mediation, including: • How mediation works • Selecting a mediator • Preparing for and participating in mediation • The hallmarks of a successful mediation • Mediation from a judge’s perspective • Becoming a mediator This program will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, to participate in this program. An email from MassBar Education will be sent before the program.

I was able to get out of the office for a while this morning to talk all things law with the students of St. Teresa school. It was great to give some time back and be a part of a panel with Judge McElroy, and officers Rose and Summer from the Pawtucket Police Department.

On April 23, 2024, a team of KLG employees volunteered at the current Old Colony Habitat for Humanity build in Norton, MA. As a sponsor of the build, having a team build day is way to continue to give back to the project and involve more employees. Employees from the Bridgewater and Milton offices joined Old Colony Habitat for Humanity volunteers in painting and laying vinyl flooring. KLG Talent Acquisition Specialist, Lauren Harrington, SHRM-SCP said, "I feel fortunate to have had this opportunity to become involved with Habitat for Humanity. The project leaders were very welcoming and great instructors." KLG is a Foundation Sponsor of the build that broke ground on June 1, 2023. Thank you to Lauren, Lorna Carroll, Larissa Chartier, Randi Nielsen, Sean McEachern, Haleigh R., Jessica Lema, and Mike Danubio for volunteering!

Great work Jeffrey N. Catalano, Esq.!
We're proud to have some of the brightest minds in the industry fighting for our clients! UMass Chan Medical School recently invited Partner Jeffrey N. Catalano, Esq. to speak about common causes and obstacles to patient safety. Presenting to an audience of 150 medical students, residents, and physicians, Jeff shared invaluable insights from his experience representing clients in medical malpractice cases, as well as simple ways to prevent medical errors from occurring. "Roughly 400,000 people die due to medical injuries every year in the United States. In Massachusetts alone, these preventable medical errors cost roughly $617 million per year," Catalano said. "But no monetary value could come close to making up for the devastating impact that medical mistakes can have on patients and their families." Thanks for advocating for patient safety by sharing your wealth of knowledge with the medical community, Jeff! #ThoughtLeadership #LegalIndustry #MedicalMalpractice #InjuryAttorney #PatientSafety
