Spravato (esketamine) and ketamine are similar medications, but are administered differently. A ketamine-derivative, esketamine is intended specifically to treat depression. Delivered in the form of a nasal spray, Spravato is FDA-approved as a treatment for depression and is covered by many health insurance plans. Ketamine is typically administered intravenously and is used for treating depression as well as PTSD, anxiety and other mental health conditions. At Keta Medical Center we offer both Spravato and IV ketamine treatments, always under the careful guidance and supervision of a highly-trained physician. #KetamineTherapy #KetamineAssistedTherapy #Spravato #SpravatoNasalSpray #MentalHealthRecovery

Want to learn more about ketamine therapy before you start treatment? Learn how and why this novel therapy can be so powerful. Here are a few of our favorite books on the topic: 1. "The Ketamine Breakthrough: How to Find Freedom from Depression, Lift Anxiety, and Open Up to a New World of Possibilities" by Dr. Mike Dow and Ronan Levy. This book offers an overview of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and its potential benefits for mental health. 2. "Ketamine: Dreams and Realities" by Karl Jansen. This book explores the science and history of ketamine, detailing its use in treating depression and other mental health conditions. 3. "The Ketamine Papers: Science, Therapy, and Transformation" edited by Phil Wolfson and Glenn Hartelius. An anthology of expert contributions discussing the therapeutic applications of ketamine. 4. "A Dose of Hope: A Story of MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy" by Dr. Dan Engle and Alex Young. While the book's focus in on MDMA, it also covers the broader context of psychedelic-assisted therapies, including ketamine. #KetamineTherapy #DepressionRecovery #Books #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthJourney

Neuroplasticity is the brain's remarkable ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections. This dynamic process allows the brain to adapt to new experiences, learn new information, recover from injuries, and adjust to changes in the environment. Essentially, neuroplasticity enables the brain to change its structure and function in response to training, experience, or damage, playing a crucial role in learning, memory, and overall cognitive function. By enhancing these neuroplastic processes, ketamine helps to remodel the brain's neural circuits, leading to LASTING improvements in mood, cognition, and overall mental health. HEALING is possible 🙏 #KetamineTherapy #MentalHealthMatters #SelfLove #MentalHealthJourney
