Responsibility, loyalty, a desire to make a positive difference, deep compassion and commitment, all of these are admirable leadership qualities. But when these desires and qualities are divorced from trust in God, they eventually become self-serving. Edging God out, we become controlling, frustrated, disengaged, impatient, and self-protective. Where do you need to guard your strengths by exalting God as the object of your worship, the source of your security, self-worth and wisdom, and your audience and judge? In our journey through life, we often stumble upon roadblocks and setbacks. But as Christians, we are reminded that failure is not the end; it's an opportunity for growth and reliance on God's grace. 🙏 When we face failure, we can take solace in knowing that even our greatest mistakes are not beyond redemption in the eyes of our loving Father. His grace is more than sufficient to lift us up, dust us off, and set us back on the path toward His purpose for our lives. 💫 In Romans 8:28, we're reminded that "God works all things together for the good of those who love him." So, let's lean into our failures, trusting that God is using them to mold us into the image of His Son and to fulfill His perfect plan for us. Let's not be discouraged by setbacks but rather see them as opportunities for God to reveal His faithfulness and power in our lives. ✨ So, if you're feeling defeated by failure today, remember that you are not alone. God is with you, and He is always working for your good. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him and press forward with faith, knowing that He is faithful to turn our failures into victories. Thankfulness is key to our leadership. It grounds us in humility as we realize that Jesus has done for us what we could not do for ourselves. Kneeling before His cross with open hands, we look up in gratitude and wonder. Following His gaze, we look around us at those He came to save, and we rise to serve in His name. Thankfulness pours itself out in service to others. Only a thankful, humble heart can receive the gift of salvation and rise to follow in Jesus in sacrificial service. So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.—Colossians 2:6-7 Visit LeadLikeJesus.com to learn more about our resources, workshops, and community. "Love does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs." 1 Corinthians 13:5 1 Corinthians 13:5 beautifully encapsulates the essence of true leadership. A good leader honors and respects others, prioritizes the team's well-being over personal gain, maintains composure in challenging situations, and practices forgiveness. Embracing these principles fosters a supportive and harmonious environment, allowing everyone to thrive. LEADLIKEJESUS.COM
