In a new piece in Justice Rising, LSC Emerging Leaders Council member Shiva Kooragayala makes the cases for expanding generative artificial intelligence in the field of civil legal aid. “Given the magnitude of the problem, we need to employ every tool at our disposal,” he writes. “Artificial intelligence, when designed and employed thoughtfully, can provide the sort of soft-touch help that many families need every year.”
