As Women’s History Month comes to a close, LightBay Capital is excited to highlight our community partners, Girls Academic Leadership Academy (GALA) and Rock The Street, Wall Street (RTSWS), and share events from our celebrations over the last few weeks! Earlier this month, the Ladies at LightBay returned to GALA’s campus to launch the second semester of RTSWS’s mentorship program and talk to high school seniors about the importance of networking. The impactful RTSWS programming is designed to inspire, educate, and equip girls with the financial skills necessary for success throughout their lives, fostering the potential for pursuing exciting career opportunities in finance. Additionally, our team members, Shakira Gagnier and Tara Hally, took the lead in conducting a Financial Literacy skills workshop at the Young Women’s Career Conference at GALA, focusing on the essential skill of budgeting. The YWCC is an immersive all-day event that brings together female leaders from the community for speaker panels, presentations, and skills-based workshops, creating valuable connections between students and innovative, inspiring women. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with GALA and RTSWS.
