The energy was electric as AJ Chier and I stepped onto the stage at the 2024 EnoMax Leadership Academy Alumni Panel, hosted during LA Metro Transit Host Week. We were there to share our hard-earned insights with the next generation of transportation leaders. Just a year ago, we were in their shoes, eager to absorb every lesson from the esteemed EnoMax program. Now, it was our turn to give back. We represented a powerhouse lineup of transportation agencies: CATS in North Carolina, DART in Dallas, LA Metro in Los Angeles, and Sound Transit in Seattle. The room buzzed with the collective potential of current and future leaders from coast to coast. As we shared our firsthand experiences, the room hung on our words. We spoke of challenges overcome, opportunities seized, and the transformative power of the EnoMax program. The current cohorts leaned in, their eyes sparkling with curiosity. AJ and I were thrilled to pay it forward, answering their questions and igniting a passion that mirrored our own. In that moment, surrounded by kindred spirits who shared our excitement for the future of transportation, we knew we were exactly where we were meant to be. Connections were forged, relationships were born, and the next chapter of transportation leadership was being written before our eyes. Giving back to the EnoMax community was an honor and an absolute blast. We can't wait to see the incredible things this new generation will achieve! Thank you, Eno Center for Transportation! "Yesterday, we mentioned to the current class the EnoMax Leadership Academy, Class of 2023, was the best ever!"

"Metro is so much more than the services we run or the infrastructure we build: It's people helping people make the most out of their lives. And, together, we're delivering on our promises to LA County voters and making our Metro better." CEO Stephanie Wiggins spoke on the planning milestones and transit infrastructure plans accomplished by Metro at the annual State of the Agency address with LA County leaders, Metro staff and honored guests in attendance. In addition to these achievements, Metro ridership has grown significantly over the past 18 months, solidifying Metro's status as the second busiest transit agency in the country! We thank Mayor Karen Bass for her year of service as Metro Board chair and look forward to continuing our work with incoming chair and LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn and the rest of our board of directors to transforming LA County, prioritizing the safety of our riders and employees, improving rider experience, helping unhoused riders into shelter and supporting Metro employees!

Today, Los Angeles Metro serves nearly a million people everyday - that’s nearly a million different stories, each with their own experience. Thanks to our work, more Angelenos are Going Metro – to work, school, doctor’s appointments, sporting events, the museum, concerts, or just to connect with family. Metro has a bold vision for the future, but all of that would be for nothing if it weren’t for what moves Metro - our riders. Hear from them. This is #MyCityMyMetro

Check out this aerial view and informative clip by KCAL News CBS News of Metro Headquarters, the "nerve center of mass transit in the country's most populous county." This building is where a lot of the work of planning, designing, funding and operating the agency happens!   This 26-floor building opened in 1995 and has some unique characteristics like Italian granite and English brick. It is located across from Union Station, the transit hub of Los Angeles! 🚇🌴   https://lnkd.in/draESA3w

Yesterday, the Metro Board of Directors approved the implementation plan of the Transit Community Public Safety Department (TCPSD) over a five-year period. The approved plan will result in a department of personnel who are dedicated to Metro, and its customers and who understand the nuances of patrolling a transit system. For further information on the TCPSD plan, visit our blog post: https://lnkd.in/guu8HqN4

Head of Employee Experience, Recognition & Engagement @ LA Metro Ⓜ️🚌🚉🚇🚲

Today was a wonderful day for #EmployeeEngagement at Los Angeles Metro! Metro’s Talent Development and Employee Engagement teams co-hosted a Leadership Lunch & Learn showcasing employees who graduated from Metro’s Leadership Academy (MLA). The event was hosted live at Metro headquarters and was streamed to home offices and work locations across LA county. MLA is a 12-month program offering professional instructor-led training on crucial topics, emphasizing the business of our business — moving LA forward. This year marks MLA’s 10th year and the program is currently recruiting for their next cohort. Grateful for the #people behind this important work — the panelists, program leads, and staff, most (but not all) pictured here. #GoMetro #WeMoveLA #LeadershipDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth
