Our Yarrow, British Columbia, facility proudly participates with the Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) and the B.C. Youth in Manufacturing Initiative to provide education and work experience to youth aged 16-25. This is the third year of the partnership, which provides competitive wages and training in lean manufacturing fundamentals. We are happy to help create a more equitable learning environment for students in Mechanicsburg, PA with a donation to New Hope Ministries. The funds will be used to fill backpacks with school supplies which will be donated to local families at a back-to-school event this summer. Congratulations to the students who received a 2024 Masonite Scholarship from Masonite Chile! This program provides monthly funding for each student based on their academic achievement. During a ceremony hosted by Masonite leadership, 65 students received their scholarships. Our Environmental Excellence Awards program recognizes projects and initiatives at Masonite facilities that lessen our impact on the environment while creating positive business outcomes. Each winning location receives funds to support a project in the local community. Our Dickson, TN facility used its winning funds to support Creekwood High School to enhance its Agricultural department by expanding hands-on learning experiences for the Veterinary Sciences Lab. This initiative aims to provide students with practical skills and knowledge, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship and animal care.
