Heard of inflation? Now hear this: Retail sales rose just 0.1% in the month of May, highlighting more drag on consumer wallets than what brands were already projecting. Up next: the Paris Olympics and a quicksand presidential election cycle... The pressure + noise combo is at an all-time high, and many advertisers are sharpening their swords for the gunfight: 🗡 showing ads to shoppers who are already going to purchase 🗡 paying for expensive video design and expecting it to drive web traffic 🗡 sweating KPIs that force their ad dollars to race down the funnel 🗡 letting clicks define the success of their media mix These are the types of decisions that can make life difficult (when we all know how growth marketing is hard enough). But forget about growth for a second -- 🙀 At Measured, we have data from 1,000s of experiments showing how the typical advertiser spends 40% of their media budget on NON-INCREMENTAL activity to begin with.
