  • MHAOhio trains individuals to become certified Peer Recovery Supporters (PRS), helps them find jobs, and supports their continuing education. A PRS is someone who has lived experience with a mental health condition or substance use disorder. When they become a certified PRS, they can be employed at local behavioral health organizations to use their experience to empower others to overcome similar challenges. A PRS understands because they've been through it. They know how difficult the journey can be, but they also know that recovery is possible. This makes them an incredibly powerful motivator for those who are struggling. If you would like to learn more about this rewarding career or how to become a PRS, contact us.
