CBIZ spent an afternoon at our DuPage Addison Children’s School, in support of Head Start Early learners. They weeded, added mulch, cleaned and sanitized toys. One member of our Head Start staff, Laura A., shared that “Having a corporate sponsor do volunteer work in our classrooms is incredibly meaningful. It demonstrates a commitment to education and community engagement, while also providing valuable support for our teachers in our classrooms. It creates a collaborative environment where everyone benefits. Thank you for your volunteer time!! I really appreciate all the help you provided at ACC."

July is Disability Pride Month, a time to honor the experiences, achievements, and challenges faced by people living with disabilities, whether visible or invisible. July signifies the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990. This pillar of civil rights legislation promises equal opportunities to all in areas such as employment, housing, access to services, and full participation in society.

MFS is honored to be among the 2024 recipients recently honored at Chicago White Sox Charities Day! Through initiatives such as Charities Day, CWSC raises funds to promote youth education and advancement, share the love of the game through youth baseball initiatives, assist children and families in crisis and champion those battling cancer. CWSC has donated more than $47 million to non-profit organizations and community programs across the city and surrounding areas.

Our Southwest Center's BIRNN program hosted The Safe Summer Backyard BBQ this past weekend! This important community event aims to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community, fostering mutual understanding, trust, and respect. Through shared activities, such as games, food, and conversation, attendees can break down stereotypes, dispel misconceptions, and humanize one another. The Metropolitan Family Services Altgeld Teen Leaders have safely landed in New York! ✈️ They had an exciting day touring Manhattan and exploring Times Square. After a day filled with walking, they stopped at Sylvia's Soul Food to savor Sylvia's Famous BBQ Ribs, Southern Fried Chicken, Country Fried Fish, Potato Salad, Collard Greens, and Sassy Rice.
