The North American Olive Oil Association is pleased to announce it will be hosting the Second Annual Tasting Showcase for Trade and Media on June 22, 2022, at the Manhattan Penthouse. At what we believe is the largest international olive oil trade show in the United States, we will have over 20 vendors with products coming from 7 different countries (Italy, Greece, Morocco, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, and the U.S.) offering tastings of their products. As of today, the confirmed exhibitors in alphabetical order are: Atlas Olive Oils, Bono USA- Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil , Castillo de Canena, Gaia Oliva, García de la Cruz, Kosterina, La Tourangelle, Mánamu Olive Oil, Manfredi Barbera & Figli SPA, Marconi (Catania Oils), MONINI, Olive Truck, OLYFO, Ora di Milas, Patio de Viana, Olio Piro. , Sciabica Family California Olive Oil and Gourmet Foods, Tierra Callada and Fattoria Triboli. We are honored that Fattoria Triboli has chosen our event as their first trade show in the U.S. They will be exhibiting their organic EVOO, produced in Tuscany with regenerative farming techniques. And we are pleased that in addition to the olive oil companies, Flour & Olive, a company that produces cake mixes especially formulated for the use of extra virgin olive oils (and recently won a sofi Gold Award in the Baking Mix category) will be attending and sampling some of their fabulous cakes! Indeed, the fact that you can cook with extra virgin olive oil (including in baking and desserts) is among the many characteristics of olive oil about which too many consumers and members of the media and trade remain unaware. So, to kick off the Tasting Showcase, Joseph R. Profaci, Executive Director, will give a presentation describing the NAOOA’s work in raising awareness of olive oil’s versatility and benefits entitled, “Yes, Olive Oil Comes from Olives: The Need for Education in our Sector. ”    The event will be attended by representatives of media and trade buyers, but not the general public. If you are interested in attending or exhibiting, please contact us at info@NAOOA.org.
