📢 Action Alert! In the fiscal year 2024, The Victims of Crime Act (#VOCA) faced a drastic 30% funding reduction, causing many victim service programs such as domestic violence agencies, child advocacy centers, and rape crisis centers to reduce or eliminate services, lay off employees, and in some cases, close their doors entirely. Lawmakers MUST act now to ensure crime victims receive life-saving services. Please join us in urging your members of Congress to co-sponsor and pass the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization! 📝 Write your representatives now: https://bit.ly/3Y8jeIk

Between October and December 2023, we conducted a survey, in partnership with @ifwhenhow, to learn more about survivor experiences of reproductive coercion and abuse. So many survivors bravely shared their stories and they serve as a call to action to protect victims and survivors’ rights to control their own bodies and live free from violence. We've created a social media toolkit for our latest report on Reproductive Coercion and Abuse. This toolkit is designed to help you spread awareness. You can download the toolkit and help amplify this important message! 📩 https://bit.ly/3XxPzUY #EndReproductiveCoercion #ReproductiveCoercion #EndAbuse #SupportSurvivors #DVAwareness #TheHotline

📢 Action Alert! The House Appropriations Subcommittee has proposed a budget for FY 2025 that drastically cuts CDC funding and eliminates the Injury Center, including the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) and DELTA programs. These cuts will have devastating impacts on states, communities, young people, families, rape crisis centers, domestic violence programs, and survivors. Prevention is vital in the fight to end gender-based violence. The elimination of these bipartisan-supported programs would be devastating. Join us in urging the House Appropriations Committee to invest in RPE, DELTA, and the Injury Center to help prevent gender-based violence. Make your voice heard before the vote on July 10! 📝 Write your representatives now: https://lnkd.in/gEzsP_Vs #PolicyAction #DomesticViolence #GenderBasedViolence
