Recently, Shuna Awong, Director, OTC Derivatives Compliance, participated in IOSCO's Committee on Derivatives (Committee 7 or C7) meeting in Sydney, Australia. Thank you, International Organization of Securities Commissions - IOSCO, for giving NFA staff the opportunity to contribute to these important meetings.
The IOSCO Committee on Derivatives (Committee 7) met in Sydney at the end of June for its summer meeting. Its four working groups provided comprehensive updates on their ongoing initiatives, reflecting IOSCO’s commitment to support Market Effectiveness. A highlight of the plenary sessions was the presentation by the ASX on critical topics such as carbon markets, ESG and operational resilience. ISDA shared valuable insights from the public consultation (https://lnkd.in/e5AJYRj7) on the CDS Determination Committees. These discussions underscore our collective efforts to enhance market integrity and resilience. We're looking forward to continuing this momentum and driving impactful change. #NFA staff recently volunteered at the Wounded Warrior Project, conducting mock interviews virtually to help participants prepare for job interviews. The mock interviews were a part of the Wounded Warrior Project's veteran career program, which empowers veterans and their family members to thrive in the civilian workforce.
