When I saw this by Liz Heiman: A Number is Not a Strategy, I knew I needed to share it. "If you ended 2023 by handing your sales team a number to hit and not much more, you may end 2024 disappointed. A number is not a Strategy. The Sales Goal Number should be the result of data analysis. Your Strategy is how you get there. Analyze what you did last year. Focus on filling gaps and increasing sales. There are three ways to increase sales. You can sell more of the same thing to existing customers, sell additional products to existing customers, or sell to new customers.
